Home...what is home? Where is home?

It is one of this days, when I ask myself - where is home?
Just had a dinner with colleagues, or rather said - friends from 10 different countries, delicious food was prepared by two lovely Indian guys (THANK YOU GUYS!!!!), but for the first time in Morocco I am not happy, because my home is not happy. Croatia, BiH and Serbia are facing the worst floods  in lasr 120 years, I saw the map of how much of an area is flooded - looks like a see. And, thanks Good, it does not affect my family, but affected many other families, some of my friends, and I am not calm at all.
What can I do to help, is already done, now it only leaves to pray.

Thank one more time to ones who expressed their interest - this means a lot.

As few days before, I was not sure where my home is, now I am - where my thoughts are.

Capture

Bi Time is flying here.
After super fast and intense first week: at work gathering info, understanding the client, catching Franch terminology, there  ware two trips Fez and Tanger / Chefchouen.
Had chance to get to know cool places in Morocco, connect with the rest of the team and reflect on how to approach project. It was nice but exhausing, so I was quite sick for a few days. Luckily local medicines and a day of home office did the magic.

Second week went even faster, and teams mood was changing - from excitement yes we can do it - till OMG what do they want from us. Friday we was flattered with invitation to couscous - traditional Moroccan Friday, after prayer, meal with first person in Morocco having Medical and IT degree in late '90. Weekend was well spend in Marrakesh, which become my favorite place on Earth, right after Osijek (my birth place).

Third week, and we are almost done, had workshop with client and feel happy and sad since our impression is confirmed, our client is trying resolve problem with IT, but the real routh is somewhere else. One more week left to get stakeholders to the same page, and than we can have feealing like we contributed.

It is an amazing experience to live and work with people from all over the world, almost feel them like a family -my team mates, our driver, our peers from Hospital. Can't believe that in a week we will be heading towards our last dinner and drink in Casa.

Colours of Morocco

Time is flaying here. I am here just week, but feels like months. We are group of 15 people from US, Japan, India, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Costa Rica, Izrael, Canada and this mix of culture works great.
First weekend was all about getting to know Casa, where I had random walk with Sue and ended up on the catedral roof :)

Monday started with driving trough busy streets of Casa to kick off @IBM office with all of our project partners, Morocco leadership team and DOT. Afternoon we ware at clients site, meet with almost ten people - profesors, phatmaciest, internal auditor, hospital IT team, IT improvent team and IT director. It wrs exciting and challenging experience. All meetings are in Franch, with some people understading English, but takes a lot of concentration to follow. That's why we implemented after work debrief with local goodies :)

First week, and all the sudden - holiday - great time to get to know the country and to bond with the rest of the team. We visited Fes on Thursday:

Chefchsuen:

Now we are in Tanger, birth city of our project coordinator Imane, looking forward to home made cookies :)

Love flying...

Today, for the first time, I will fly three times in one day. I enjoy the feeling, love the airport rush, adore spleen.
Also love unexpected situations. Today I met airport assistant, girl from Central African Republic, which asked me what does my name means, and we started a conversation about Lilly of the valley. - little white flower :) I learned that in Central. Africa girl gets name - by her father, grandma, and aunts. Here's name by grandma  is Maria Paula which means the one that bounce the energy the good and the bad one.

Finalty, I feel it :)

Tough I am preparing for this trip for bit more than 3 months, I was compeltely feeling less up until today. First real excitment after a moment I learned I will go to Morocco came today, when I landed to Prague. Uggly weather, a lot of Clouds :) and Sun- here and there, but still, I enjoy the trip so far.
From beginning of this year, it was mostly hectic time for me, chamges at work, preparation for CSC, new projects in my "free" time. I was struggling to enjoy the moments, I was just livin them. Today, I feel reset, a natural one and look forward to really enojy Morocco.

Love ya
Duki
